A Paterson Police Department officer admitted Thursday that he used excessive force in two separate arrests in 2020, officials said. Kevin Patino, 32, of Wayne, pleaded guilty in Newark federal court to two counts of violating an individual’s civil rights, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
