Fire crews and an ambulance are still on site after a blaze in a block of flats in the early hours of the morning. Richmond Street in Herne Bay is closed following the incident which residents report as having started just after 4am. In footage filmed by a neighbour, as many as six fire engines can be seen with smoke continuing to billow from the property in the town centre. An ambulance can also be spotted on standby with masses of firemen looking to contain and deal with the aftermath of the blaze.
