The search for two Germans missing after a fall from a block of ice on Mont Blanc has been suspended, the French news agency AFP reported on Thursday, citing the local deputy public prosecutor. Jean Ailhaud said there was no longer any point in searching for the two mountaineers. The climbers had spent the night on Monday in a mountain hut when blocks of glacial ice broke loose in the Mont Blanc du Tacul area at 4,100 metres above sea level, according to reports.
