The state of Bavaria has announced a book of condolence for German football legend Franz Beckenbauer whose club Bayern Munich will illuminate their stadium in his honour. State chancellery head Florian Herrmann said after a cabinet meeting that prime minister Markus Söder and Bayern Munich representatives would be the first to sign the book on Wednesday, with members of the public then welcome to follow.
