Negotiators from the European Parliament and EU member states agreed on Thursday to establish a standardized EU-wide disability card, the EU announced on Thursday. The recognized disability status throughout the EU would grant equal access to special conditions and preferential treatment in public and private services such as access to parking or reduced admission prices. This includes access to transport, cultural events, museums, leisure and sports centres, or amusement parks.
