The Israeli army and the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah in southern Lebanon exchanged fire on Friday in areas close to the border. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its warplanes bombed several militia facilities, among them posts in al-Mansouri, Bint Jubeil and Baraachit. Two people were injured in an attack in Baraachit on Friday, according to Lebanese security circles. They did not say if the injured were Hezbollah fighters or civilians.
