Phone and broadband supplier EE has pulled out of Bishop’s Stortford, closing its shop and directing customers to Harlow. The shop at 2b South Street was shuttered this week and had a sign in the window saying “We have a new home”. The sign goes on to advise customers that they can “Find us at the Queensgate Centre, Harlow CM20 2DA next to Costa” adding: “We’re a 20 minute drive away.” That leaves three phone shops in the town with Vodafone having premises next door to the closed EE shop, 3 on the corner of Potter Street and Jackson Square shopping centre and O2 in Potter Street.
