A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Monday night on a busy Lakewood road, police said. The person, who was not identified, was hit around 6 p.m. on New Hampshire Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene, Lakewood Police Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
