Japan goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita became the third Japanese to join Manchester City this summer after the English Women’s Super League club announced her transfer from WE League powerhouse INAC Kobe Leonessa on Friday. Yamashita follows right-back Risa Shimizu, who was a free agent after leaving West Ham, and 20-year-old former Tokyo Verdy Beleza attacker Aoba Fujino in joining City over the summer.
