Stansted windmill kickstarted its 2024 season with a fundraising Easter egg hunt that raised £250. The money will go towards the 200-year-old monument’s upkeep with work set to continue to repoint the brickwork – a project that got under way in 2019, but following a wet winter has become more urgent. Around 200 parents and children visited the mill over the Easter weekend where youngsters searched all five floors of the building to find 12 pictures of eggs.
