TAMPA, Fla. – Heavy rain has delayed the resurfacing project on North Howard Avenue, pushing the closure through the end of next week. The closure is necessary for the complete reconstruction and repaving of the road between West Kennedy Boulevard and West Fig Street. Crews are in the final stages of this major project aimed at improving safety and mobility. Despite the delay, all work is still expected to be finished by the end of August 2024, weather permitting.
