By Tom Gott Real Madrid have confirmed centre-back Antonio Rudiger has been diagnosed with a muscle injury which will keep him out of Saturday’s crunch clash with Girona. Rudiger picked up a hamstring injury earlier this month and missed the Madrid derby as a result, but he was expected to return and reclaim his place in the starting lineup for Saturday’s battle of La Liga’s top two sides. Unfortunately, Madrid have now confirmed Rudiger has suffered a thigh injury which reports suggest will keep him on the sidelines for at least two weeks.
