A project to create a tranquil place of reflection has been shortlisted for a community award. The Diss Beacon of Hope project is one of five finalists for a Pride in Place Award at this year’s South Norfolk Community Awards. The beacon, in Diss Park, was lit for the first time in June 2021 in memory of all those who suffered during the coronavirus pandemic.
