The United States urged its ally Israel to avoid Gaza-like military action in Lebanon, as it also called it out over the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian enclave. The comments came after a phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden, their first in seven weeks.
