Fast Retailing Co., the operator of the Uniqlo clothing chain, said Thursday it posted a net profit of 372.00 billion yen ($2.5 billion) for the year ended August, up 25.6 percent from a year earlier, helped by robust domestic and overseas clothing sales. Operating profit rose 31.4 percent to 500.90 billion yen on sales of 3.10 trillion yen, up 12.2 percent in the year ended Aug. 31.
