Peter Scofield came third at the Eleiko British Junior Championships to complete a superb sporting spring. The Felsted School student, 17, claimed a bronze medal and set new regional records in the 93kg-105kg weight class as an under-18 athlete at Gymshark Lifting Club in Solihull. His achievement came after he had scored a try at Twickenham to help his school’s rugby team win the Continental Tyres National Schools Vase in March.
