Denmark’s liberal Venstre party lost ground in the European elections, taking 13.9% according to initial projections from public broadcaster DR, down 9.4 percentage points from their 2019 result. The party is set to lose two of its four seats in the European Parliament. The Socialist People’s Party (terming itself the Green Left in English) secured 18.4% in a neck-and-neck race with the Social Democrats and would secure three seats up from two previously.
