An angled cable adapter from CableMod has caused around $75,000 in damage in around 270 cases in the USA alone. Following the manufacturer’s voluntary recall, the US authority “U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)” has now also responded by officially recalling the plug. Consumers are asked to destroy the adapter and upload a photo of the destroyed product to the recall page.
