After leaking renders and specs of the Vivo V40, 91mobiles has published official images of the European variant of the Vivo V40 Lite, courtesy of a tipster named Sudhanshu Ambhore (X). They also managed to gather hardware specifications and price information for the phone. The phone will cost less than the standard Vivo V40.

First look at Vivo V40 Lite

  • The official images of the Vivo V40 Lite showcase the phone’s full design and color options. The phone will feature a design with curved edges, fairly thin bezels around the screen, and a center notch for perforations.
  • The volume and power buttons are located on the right side. The middle bezel seems to be made of plastic, probably to keep the price under control.
  • Turning the phone over, you’ll see a large round module that houses the triple camera sensors and smart Aura backlight. It does not have Zeiss branding, as on the standard Vivo V40.
  • The phone is available in white and maroon colors. The latter offers a textured two-tone design.

Vivo V40 Lite price (expected)

Sudhanshu reports that the Vivo V40 Lite will cost 399 euros (approximately Rs. 35,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model.

Vivo V40 Lite specifications: what updates

  • Vivo V40 Lite is expected to have a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400X1080 pixels. This is slightly larger than the 6.67-inch panel in the Vivo V30 Lite.
  • The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. For comparison, the Vivo V30 Lite is equipped with a Snapdragon 685, and the 5G version is equipped with a Snapdragon 695.
  • The chipset will be paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
  • The Vivo V40 Lite will feature a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP sensor. For comparison, the Vivo V30 Lite 5G is equipped with a triple camera setup of 64MP + 8MP + 2MP.
  • The phone can have a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. For comparison, the V30 Lite has a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
  • The Vivo phone is likely to feature a 5,500 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The battery capacity is increased from 4,800 mAh in the Vivo V30 Lite 5G.
  • Vivo V40 Lite can be equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the display, dual-SIM support, IP64 protection class, and support for 8 GB of virtual RAM.
  • Finally, Vivo V40 Lite will most likely load the custom Funtouch OS shell based on Android 14.
