Ukrainian economic crime investigators have discovered over €4.7 million ($5.1 million) in unsourced cash in the boot of a company accountant’s car. “The woman could not explain the origin of the money,” officials in the Kiev region said on Friday, also releasing images of an open car boot with bundles of €100 notes piled up inside. The company in question had supplied €320 million worth of food to the Ukrainian army in 2022 and 2023 alone.
