Sweeping changes to the German budget ordered by the country’s highest court may force state-run rail company Deutsche Bahn (DB) to reduce its orders of new high-speed trains, a supervisory board member told dpa. “Further ICE (Intercity Express) orders could be considered as part of the savings,” said Martin Burkert, the deputy head of the supervisory board and head of the EVG trade union.
