Forward Victor Boniface will miss almost three months of action with a groin injury which requires surgery, a big blow for his Bundesliga-leading club Bayer Leverkusen and the Nigerian national team. Leverkusen said on Tuesday that an MRI scan in Cologne after his return to Germany revealed a muscle tendon injury in his left adductor and that he will go under the knife within the next days.
