It was a scary scene on Saturday for Virginia Tech freshman linebacker Gabe Williams. Williams was making a routine tackle late in the fourth quarter, but when he was on the ground after the play, he tried to get up but couldn’t. Williams immediately recognized something was wrong and then trainers and medical staff tended to him for several minutes. A stretcher was brought out onto the field, before he was eventually loaded up into an ambulance with an air cast on his leg.
