A “remorseless” rapist has been jailed for more than a decade after attacking a teenager. Paul Read, formerly of Morehall Avenue in Folkestone, was arrested on December 17, 2021 after police were made aware a girl had been sexually assaulted earlier that month. It was disclosed shortly afterwards that Read, now 40, had also raped the victim. Read was charged with two sexual offences in relation to the incident and, following a trial, was found guilty of rape and sexual assault.
