Oppo is expected to announce the Find X8 in October this year. The Find X8 Ultra, on the other hand, is likely to appear in the first quarter of 2025. Months before the launch, the rumor mill has been gradually leaking details about the Find X8 series. A new leak, courtesy of a Smart Pikachu informant, has shed some information about the X8’s telephoto camera and battery size.
According to the leak, Oppo is experimenting with a telephoto lens for the Find X8 series. While the telephoto lens can be used to capture sharper images of distant objects, the macro telephoto lens combines the capabilities of a telephoto lens and a macro lens to capture sharper images of distant objects and very small objects in close-up.
When asked about the battery size of the Find X8, he said it would be 5,000 mAh+. This means that the battery capacity could range from 5,100 mAh to 5,500 mAh. Previous reports have shown that the Find X8 will debut with the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which utilizes TSMC’s advanced second-generation 3nm N3E process.
In terms of configuration, the D9400 chip is expected to feature one 3.4GHz Cortex-X5 supercore, three Cortex-X4 supercores, and four Cortex-A7 series large cores. The new chipset is expected to offer significant improvements over its predecessor, including a 34 percent reduction in power consumption at the same speed and complexity, and an 18 percent increase in performance at the same power and complexity.
The Find X8 Ultra is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. There are rumors of a third model, tentatively called Find X8 Pro. So far, there is no concrete evidence of its existence.
