Farmers have joined their European counterparts by choking a main Kent route in protest over market conditions. A 40-tractor-strong convoy has arrived at the Port of Dover in a move designed to cause travel disruption this evening. Demonstrators met at McDonald’s before heading down Jubilee Way towards the Dover docks as police officers could be seen gathering on standby.
