The second day of Big Ten Softball Tournament action is in the books, setting up what appears to be an exciting semifinal round on Friday afternoon. After two double-digit seeds advanced to the quarterfinals on Wednesday, the trend of upsets continued to start Thursday’s slate. 8-seed Indiana upset top-seeded Northwestern 4-3 to become the first team to claim a spot in the semifinals after the Wildcats walked in a couple of runs in the fifth to take a three-run lead.
