German police will be allowed to use facial recognition software to search for suspected terrorists and serious criminals, according to a draft law from Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, a ministry spokesman confirmed to dpa on Friday. The authorization will be extended to the Federal Criminal Police Office and national police force, the spokesman said.
