Gerhard Struber is to become new Cologne coach, the Express newspaper reported on Monday. According to the report, Cologne sporting director Christian Keller has made a decision in favour of the Austrian coach. The traditional German club will play in the second division next season after being relegated from the Bundesliga. Struber most recently coached Red Bull Salzburg, but parted ways with the Austrian club shortly before the end of the season. Struber will reportedly join Cologne on a free transfer. The club plans to start preparations for the new season on June 21.
