A driver died on Thursday morning after the person’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, officials said. Police responded to a 911 call at 9:07 a.m., reporting that a car had crashed into a tree off of Route 27 near Reler Lane in Franklin Township. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at 9:30 a.m., the Franklin Township Police Department said in a news release.
