Two Civil Guard officers died when a speedboat piloted by drug smugglers crashed into them in the port of Barbate in southern Spain, the paramilitary law enforcement agency reported on Saturday. Five suspects were subsequently arrested. The guard’s AUGC association termed the incident a “wild murder attack.” The dead were both men, aged 43 and 39, with families, state broadcaster RTVE reported.
