Wanderis De La Cruz, a 24-year-old from Worcester, Massachusetts, has been formally charged with trying to bring contraband into a federal prison. The indictment alleges that De La Cruz attempted to smuggle Suboxone, a medication used to treat opioid addiction, into the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia in July 2024.
