Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has strongly condemned Israel’s plans for a military offensive in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. These would represent a “dangerous prelude” to a policy of expulsion that Palestinians fear, Abbas said on Friday evening at his official residence in Ramallah in the West Bank.
