Today, Samsung held its second Galaxy Unpacked event this year. As expected, the South Korean brand presented a number of new products, including the sixth-generation Galaxy Z folding smartphones, the 7 series watches, and the long-awaited Galaxy Ring. Galaxy Z Fold 6 replaced last year’s Z Fold 5 model. The latest innovation has a number of updates and a slightly changed design compared to its predecessor. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a boxer-shaped body and a tablet-shaped camera island on the back. The device measures 153.5 mm x 68.1 mm x 12.1 mm when folded and 153.5 mm x 132.6 mm x 5.6 mm when unfolded. It weighs 239 grams compared to 253 grams for its predecessor. The folding phone is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. The South Korean brand claims that the latest folding phone features a reinforced Armor Aluminum unibody and Gorilla Glass Victus 2, making it the most durable device in the Z-series.
As for the display, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch internal and 6.3-inch external screen with a 2x AMOLED dynamic panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The former has a resolution of 2160 x 1856 pixels, while the latter has 2376 x 968 pixels, respectively. The front panel also has a slightly larger aspect ratio, surrounded by thin bezels.
In terms of photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6’s triple rear camera consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The external screen is equipped with a 10-megapixel selfie camera, and the internal display has a built-in 4-megapixel sensor. The foldable phone is capable of recording video with a resolution of up to 8K. Z Fold 6 is equipped with features such as Photo Assist, Portrait Studio and Insta Slow-mo.
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor clocked at 3.39 GHz. It has up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Graphics are supported by ray tracing technology. The device is powered by a 4400 mAh battery with 25W charging support. The foldable phone also has an upgraded cooling system to dissipate heat. The software is Android 14, with a host of Galaxy AI features such as Note Assist, Sketch to Image, the fully integrated Gemini app, and many more. Like the S24 series, the Z Fold 6 is also eligible for 7-year OS updates and security patches.
The device’s connectivity options include USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, WiFi-6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, UWB, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is available for pre-orders starting today, and sales will begin on July 24. It is available in silver, pink, and navy blue colors. The device starts at $1,899 for the 12GB + 256GB version. The 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB RAM and storage configurations cost $2,019 and $2,259, respectively.
