A woman was hospitalised this morning after being found at the edge of a river by emergency services. Police were called at 6.35am today with regards to a woman’s safety in Beaconsfield Close, Sudbury. The fire and ambulance services were also dispatched to the scene where the woman was found at the edge of a river. Four fire engines were sent to rescue the woman who was described as being stuck in water and mud by a spokesperson, although by the time crews arrived she had been freed. An ambulance service spokesperson said the woman was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care.
