Newbury Football Club suffered disappointment in their first home match of the season on Saturday. Having lost away to Burghfield on the opening day of the Thames Valley Premier League season, the newly promoted side looked to turn things around as AFC Winkfield travelled to Henwick Playing Fields. Things got off to a bright start, as James O’Doherty’s strike put Newbury 1-0 up early on.
