Today was a great performance by Liverpool. Sadly though, that performance wasn’t necessarily reflected by the result. The Reds were very unlucky to walk away from Anfield with just one point. Especially after what seemed like a blatant penalty wasn’t given by the referee and ignored by VAR as well. But in the end Liverpool will also have themselves to blame. They created enough chances to take all three points, even without needing to rely on that penalty on Alexis Mac Allister being awarded later on in the game.
