The next Music at Douai concert, on Saturday, February 24 at 7.30pm, is to be a return visit by the Choir of Royal Holloway College, directed by Rupert Gough. This concert will be 10 days into the season of Lent so the music will be entirely appropriate as shown by the title Miserere. The music will be by Allegri, Lotti, Bach, Caldara, David Bednall (who has written mass settings for the Douai Abbey Singers), Kenneth Leighton and the UK premiere of Geoffrey Gordon’s Crucifixus for Double Choir and Cello.
