Regarding the planned development of the gatehouse at Newark Castle. By incorporating a modern design into the project would surely be an act of sacrilege — like putting a conservatory on Stonehenge. It would be completely at odds with the rest of the castle and so therefore needs to done in keeping with the original structure. — D. Redman, Newark.
