Diia launched push notifications for families of military and civilian prisoners and missing persons.
Previously, the information was sent via text message. Fraudsters took advantage of the vulnerability of relatives of prisoners and missing persons by offering to “speed up” the exchange for money or sending fake information imitating data from the Coordination Center.
Informing the families of prisoners through Diia will help:
- officially and timely receive verified data from the Coordination Center;
- protect against manipulation, blackmail and disinformation by the Russians;
- protect against theft of personal data and accounts.
How it works
Push notifications are pulled up from the office of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and displayed in the Diia app.
To enable such notifications, you need to:
- submit an application through the Personal Account of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War;
- be authorized in the Diia app;
- have a tax number.
What to do
When a person goes missing, relatives leave a statement in their personal account on the Coordination Center’s website. Diia receives notifications that:
- The statement was confirmed;
- information was added to the case;
- The man was released from captivity.
If it is confirmed that a missing person is in captivity, Diia will also notify them. And when relatives receive a notification in Diia that a person has been released from captivity, they have indeed been released.
