Double player-of-the-year Jordan Higgs is in talks over a new deal at Tonbridge Angels. Midfielder Higgs had a superb debut campaign at Longmead after joining from Dover, winning both the supporters’ player and players’ player awards. He also won the goal-of-the-season vote after his stunning volley against Maidstone on Boxing Day. Higgs is one of five players Angels are speaking to regarding new deals after announcing their retained list. The others are Ryan Hanson, Tariq Hinds, Lewis Gard and Jamie Fielding.
