A “deep” hole has appeared in a road. It has emerged in Hackney Road, opposite Milton Street in Maidstone today (July 11). The cracked surface is cordoned off with traffic cones. Naomi Simpson was driving by when she saw it. She said: “It was a deep hole as your drive past. “I’m assuming its a sink hole but it wasn’t confirmed by the people on the road.” Other visible cracks are also notable and pictures show Kent County Council (KCC) officers are in attendance. KCC has been contacted for a comment.
