The United States defeated Brazil for a third time at the Olympics to claim a record-extending fifth women’s football gold medal with a 1-0 win at the Paris Games on Saturday. Forward Mallory Swanson scored the winner in the 57th minute as she made a perfectly timed run into the box from the left side to beat Brazilian keeper Lorena.
