Rebel groups in crisis-hit Myanmar have reportedly taken control of the important trading town of Myawaddy on the border with Thailand. Early Thursday morning, a revolutionary alliance led by the armed wing of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) seized the last military garrison in the town, the KNLA said in a statement on Facebook.
