A well-used village road prone to flooding will be shut for an emergency closure this week. The A1101 Wash Road in Welney will be closed overnight tomorrow to complete white road lining works on the edges of the newly-surfaced road. Resurfacing works took place between August 19-31 on the road, but the contractor had an issue with its road lining equipment and could not complete the work.
