Mercedes-Benz reported on Thursday that year-on-year car sales increased by 1.5% to 2.49 million in 2023, while fourth-quarter sales were down 3% for the group. While sales in the luxury segment – which includes Maybach, the G-Class and the S-Class – stagnated at 328,200 vehicles in 2023, sales in the entry-level segment increased by 4% to 618,700.
