US General Michael Erik Kurilla, the officer commanding US forces in the Middle East, arrived in Israel on Thursday amid concerns of an imminent military attack by Iran, Israeli radio reported. Kurilla’s arrival follows a threat by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that Iran will exact revenge for an airstrike on its embassy grounds in Damascus at the beginning of the month that has been attributed to Israel.
