Total sales on a like-for-like basis rose in the third quarter for British retailer Marks & Spencer Group Plc compared to the same period of the previous year. Marks & Spencer reported on Thursday third quarter group sales of £3.86 billion ($4.23 billion), an increase of 7.2% from last year. Total UK sales were £3.57 billion, an increase of 8.5%, or up 8.1% on a like-for-like (LFL) basis. Food sales increased 10.5%, with LFL sales up 9.9%.
