Two cars went up in flames at a petrol station, prompting the closure of a section of the A14 on Sunday (10 March). Four fire engines from Cambridge and two from Newmarket were called at 1.25pm to tackle the fire at the BP garage, off the eastbound carriageway near Newmarket. The 20 firefighters arrived to find a blaze engulfing two cars on the forecourt. Photographs show one of the pumps had been destroyed in the fire.
