New York Associate Justice Ellen Gesmer rejected an effort to delay Donald Trump’s hush money trial for a third time this week. Trump attorney Emil Bove asked the appeals court to delay the trial by filing a sealed civil action against Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the criminal case. Bove argued, among other things, that Merchan benefited from Trump’s prosecution because his daughter worked for a political consulting company.
